I'm so happy

I got a letter yesterday from a new pp !

I had seen his ad a month or so and I knew right away after reading his profile that I wanted to write him - so I used the WAP e-mail thing.. but then I found out that my letter would only be printed out on the 2Oth (14 days or so after I wrote it)

Then of course, I had to add an extra time for him receiving it, then his reply to fly across the Atlantic Ocean to expect anything. But last week, nothing, no letters, no replies .. I was really disappointed .. until yesterday when I found his letter in my mailbox.

I was suprised though by how long it took between the day it was sent to him and the day he got it - almost 10 days ! He got it on the 31st... It took his reply only 5 days to fly across the ocean !

Well, I'm glad I used the WAP e-mail thing but also that we don't have to go through it each time we write to each other LOL

Well, now that makes 2 pps !

Glad to "hear" you so happy

It took my PP 8 days to receive my e-mail through WAP (8 days from the day WAP says the'd send it, that is) when I wrote my first "letter" to him. I might as well have written him a real snail mail letter (it probably would have reached him earlier than the WAP e-mail).

But.. oh, well - all is well that ends well I got the best one, so I'm not complaining

I couldn't stand it - I have no patience in life so ... and he's a great pp I think, now I have to wait for their letters !! I'm already thinking about their X-mas presents !!!

Oh, also - I wanted to say that my pp said that get letters after posting their ads, they reply to them and then, their new pps just disappear and never write back - I think it's very sad and heartbreaking.

I'm going to send him a postcard as well in case my letter gets lost !!!

Good idea sending a post card. My BF loves them. I send him ones that show NM and ABQ.

That is great! I am really happy to hear that received the reply that you were waiting for.

I love sending postcards and cards. Especially after I found out that you can get cards for $.50 at the Dollar Store! They can make for something nice in between letters. A couple of my pals don't get mail from anyone else besides me and I know how much it means to them to get a little reminder that they are thought of. It can really make a difference.

Thank you ! Yes, I'm sending postcards from my city in France - I'm sure they've never heard about it LOL

Postcards in France cost around €.30 - I'm on way to the post office during lunch break, to make sure my mail gets in the right place.

He said he's lonely, so I'll be his first "pp" - he has his family standing by him (which does matter a lot, considering that many pp don't have anyone at all) but he says that a friend is also very important.



He enjoys reading (as I do) and he reads Tchekhov ... !

Happy for you SandyF I havent received any responses yet (considering I've only just recently sent them lol) but I am going to try the whole patience thing and wait (got no choice there!!). I hope when I start getting responses I will be able to start a new chapter in my friendship circle.

Don't worry - the hardest part is the waiting actually, after you'll be so happy to get mail and so eager to reply !

I'm already thinking about all the things I'm going to send them in the future. I'm going to spoil them
