My two favourite songs in the world are smells like teen spirit and dumb both by nirvana but I don't know if I want either of them played at my funeral. Maybe I'd chose come as you are. If you can't already tell I m a huge nirvana fan even though they were a bit before my time. I even wanted to call my daughter Nirvana but her dad said no to that.

If I ever get married I want to walk down the aisle to have I told you lately that I love you and when Rylie was born the doctor was plaing someone like you. When you think about it it is a really fitting song and it describes just how I feel about her. Especially this bit.

I've been travellin' a hard road
Baby lookin' for someone exactly like you
I've been carryin' my heavy load
Waiting for the light to come shining through
Someone like you
Make it all worth while
Someone like you
Make me satisfied
Someone exactly like you

The song from the movie the "Titanic" by Celine Dion.

Near far wherever you are...
I believe the heart does go on and on...
your in my heart and,,my heart will go on and on ;;;;

I love that song and is what I would want played.

Also I would want ***** Willows on my grave (smile) after the legal name in small print showing: on the stone...

Aussiegal you made me cry!!! I am a Nirvana fan from the days of old - sweet sweet high school days - so I know where you are coming from.
My friend wants Enrique's song "don't turn out the lights"
Nice songs people - keep them coming!

my little sister wrote a tune and played it on the piano when she was about 14 - i totally 'fell in love' with that 'tune' as the 'Death March', and made her vow to play it if she outlived me.
then at my wake, i would like to have Celine Dion's song 'I'm Alive' from Stuart Little played as well - altho that reminds me sooo much of my father and there is no question i will have that 'played' or sung at his funeral - altho i am still hoping that he and my mother are going to outlive me. no one must die before me. no one!!
i like this post, but it is pretty morbid come to think of it eh? haha - morbid but nice..

1) A-ha - The Sun Always Shines On TV
2) Bon Jovi - It's My Live
3) Evanescence - My Immortal

1 = The best song I have every heard
2 = I love this band that's why
3 = This song is a real funeral song ;-)

silv, i really like that Bon Jovi song - when i was in the UK i think we went to see them about 6 times, in Milton Keynes and so on, and he always gets the crowd 'rocking' but the last time we went off to MK to see on Jovi, this was the song that got the crowd rocking the most - believe it or not, followed closely by Runaway and Two Storey Town, which i also really like, but didnt expect to get almost as much 'rocking' from.

Morbid subject but here goes........!!!!!

Firstly. I wanted 'Brothers in Arms' by Dire Straits, since I've been a fan of theirs since forever, but I recently attended a good mate's funeral and he'd (sadly and unfortunately)beaten me to it.
Then, although I'm not religious at all, I thought of 'Abide with me' (for UK members it's a Football/Rugby league thing)but that would seem far too serious to anyone who knows me, so in the end I decided on Monty Python's 'Always look on the bright side of life' from the film 'The Life of Brian' (which will 'give away' to anyone in the know where my football allegiances lie).

the most disappointing thing ever for me, with regards to Jon Bon Jovi was seeing him in an interview. he doesnt regard his fans as 'great' - he regards himself as great, and he therefor has fans... haha...
i still gotta admit tho, pompous or not, the man knows how to put together an awesome rock band right????!
