I guess I need to learn patience or get an RX for valium. I just checked the KYDOC website and it looks like they moved my BF again. This makes 3 prisions in 4 months. I just spoke with his case worker Thursday and was informed he has become the model inmate and she did not even mention a move. He has been a little down lately and this will just make it worse. His mail will be delayed a week or so. At least when/if he gets it he will have a ton. I know of 3 cards, 2 letters and a book that will be headed to the new facility. He has also been moved from a prison to a jail, is that better for him or does it mean anything?

One positive thing, his new mug shot at the new Jail is hot. He has let his hair grow and done away with the facial hair. Already saved it to my wallpaper.

Hopefully he will call today or tomorrow.

He was just starting to feel comfortable. I dont see how States save money by moving inmates around. I can see it if they are being moved for a program, getting ready for release, etc but to just move them is crazy.
I am hoping a move to a jail vs a prison means positive things regarding early parole

Glad I did not purchase airline tickets for December yet. They moved him from one end of the state to the other.

That's an offenders life you have to deal with that,moving them not just for a program or release.

If I am correct he has around 2 years left... generally they max out of the prison, at least in most states. When they are taken back to county lock up or jail they are awaiting another court hearing.

He has 17 months remaining. No pending charges or hearings. I know he is trying to get into another drug treatment program but they are only offered in 3 prisons in the state. I do know they have been releasing non violent inmates early due to lack of funding.

I'm with Skye. Back to JAIL usually means something court related. If he has no pending charges, maybe he's expected to SPEAK at a hearing or something.

This frequent moving of prisoners sounds like a sign of the times. I know that, here in Michigan, they are closing down a number of prisons, and camps. That means a lot of shuffling of inmates. I guess that there's not much that you can do about it, other than endure it. Hopefully things will settle down soon. But, I think that it is pretty much economy related, so who knows when that will happen?
