I have been writing to penpals for almost 4 years. I try to do things that are unique and special with the mail that I send. One thing that I have done is to have quite a few different postcards custom made. As these come from the printer in bundles of 100, I tend to have quite a few extras and they have begun to pile up and overtake my stationary drawer. So instead of just tossing them in the the recycle bin, I thought I would offer some of them, at no cost, to others to use for their penpals.

I worked inside a prison as a CO and a supervisor for seven years, so I know the excitment that surrounds the daily mail call and how much joy receiving a letter or note can make in someone's day.

So if anyone would like some of these cards. get in touch with me. These are standard size postcards that cost $.27 to mail. Six or seven of them with fit in an envelope. I have quite a few types, but as I have written to only females, most tend to have a more femine tone to them (fairies, flowers, butterflies, etc), but not all. So when you respond, let me know the sex of your PP and your relationship (friend, spouse, romantic, platonic, etc.), so I can pick out appropriate ones for you.

And for people that have FL female pal that is in a state facility and can receive cards/stationary in the mail, I can also sent a bundle directly to them, for them to use, and as a nice surprise. (I would use your return address, though). I am not trying to 'steal' any PP, or add any more to my current list. Currently, where I stand, just like the old TV show, - Eight is Enough.

Although I have quite a few cards (over 1400), I will only send them out to the first 40 or so people that request them, since I am also picking up the cost of the postage to get them to you (U.S. only). I don't mind doing that on a limited basis since getting the cards to where they will be used helps fulfill the ministry of not forgetting the incarcerated.

And if there is a lot on interest, then I might do this again maybe ever couple of months or so.

i think this is a wonderful idea, i did the same while my printer was still functioning. i am new and just registered havent had a chance to introduce myself yet, but will see how the email process works and will send u one asap.
