Well, I've driven a little over 6 hours today and it was worth it. I was so nervous, brought several outfits and shoes to change into (but didn't need to). My shirt was a vneck (slightly on low side) but I had a blazer on over it. No problems. I must say the CO's were friendly and helpful also. This was my 1st trip ever to prison, and although I prefer to meet him someplace else, it wasn't bad. <It was great since we visited for several hours.> He said he doesn't like visits too often because it makes time go more slowly, which I understand. Then, he called me tonight (to make sure I made it home safe) and asked if I could come every month. I told him I thought he didn't like that, but, he said, "Well, how about every 4 or 5 weeks?!" We will be setting plans for next visit soon. Sorry if I'm rambling, I'm still excited. Just wanted to 'share'.

Im glad your visit went well....you got him all excited for another one!!!

I was thinking..his comment disturbed me, he should be greatful he gets a visit, you would think he wouldnt care how long the day was visiting with yu, someone who has drove a long way. It wasnt exactly around the block.

Sounds like you two enjoyed one anothers company.

At times, inmates find their time more difficult when they get visits and such, even letters.... They say that they cant deal with the outside because they cant be a part of it, and it is stressful to them... Brian had a cellie once who refused to write family even, saying he couldnt handle it while he was in prison because it only made him more aware of what he was missing...not all inmates want letters and visits, however thats NOT the case for most of them...I have a feeling however that the pal you visited Tammy very well may change his mind about the visits and perhaps want them a bit more often..it is not uncommon for them to change their minds... *smiles*

danalar i think he meant that his time inprisoned drags when he has visits as it reminds him that there is life gogin on out there and not to insult her visit

indy .. that is great that the visit was so much fun and what a compliment that he asked oyu to come back each month... i also think it was sweet he called to make sure you got home safe ,, what a gentleman , hugs and smiles to you as this rocks arri

I'll clarify what he meant, because I was wondering until he explained. Time goes slowly because he would be waiting for the day I visit that we plan. Like kids on Christmas Eve, morning doesn't come soon enough.

I have a way to cure that..go every week!!!! lol!

He also wanted me to come sooner, but I don't like to miss work so I told him not until Labor Day. He prefers I come during the week so it's not so busy. I still have a weeks' vacation to burn.... It's all good friends. G'night

Tammy, I wont go see Brian on the weekends because they have buses and such that come in and when the visiting room gets crowded they throw you out... so I stick to the weekdays..
