Default Feeling down

Hi guys I wanted to say that I have been feeling down. I write to 3 guys right now I am usually sending at least 3 or 4 letters a week but this week I have been off do you think they will be upset? I am going to try to get back in the writing mood tonight. And thoughts?

Hey....i know that feeling very well...what I did, was send them each a postcard, saying i just couldn't write, but would soon. They each wrote back, said they understood, and each said I could write them, and moan & groan all I wanted to because they knew I was going through a rough spell. That meant so much to me. Now, I know that if I am hitting bottom, I can write whatever I am feeling to them, and feel better. All of them said they'd rather get a down in the dumps letter than to not hear from me at all. That proved to me that I could talk about anything to them. Maybe you should try that. Sorry you are so down, if you need someone to talk to, am here. I have big shoulders & ya'll listened to me enough. ~~~Stephanie

I think you have to let your Pen pals know when you are 'down'. You have to make them part of your life in essence...sometimes I am 'down' and don't feel like writing or talking to anyone...my wife understands this and so does my Pen pal because I tell them both.

In fact, I think they will be closer to you for it because they will know that you are human, just like them. You have good days, bad days, in between days...just like them.

If your Pen Pals are really part of your life then they have to take you as you are. They will be much closer to you and happier with you if they understand that they really are a part of your life and share your good times...and your bad times...with you.

Just my thoughts

Tom

I agree with all of the above. I think that you send them a post card, telling them that you are blue, and they will fall all over themselves to cheer you up. This PP thing IS a two way street and I think those guys will come through for you. The world isn't yours alone, to carry on your shoulders. That is what friends are for.

Sorry to year both you and Mo are down. It is something we all go through, and yes, we are human, we are allowed to have good and bad days. I also think sending them a short note or postcard to say you are feeling a little down would be a good thing to do. And then tell them that you will write as usual as soon as you are back to yourself.
This way each of them will know the lack of letters are not because you have had a change of heart. I hope you are back to yourself soon. =)

Sorry Tiaslove2 and Mo that you are feeling down. Hope things get better soon! You should definitely say something to your pals about it so they don't get the wrong idea.

A postcard is a great idea! Short an sweet. It's just like when you receive those funny crappy forwarded on emails from people you haven't heard from in a while - just something to say they are thinking of you, and it is the thought that counts.

Hope you are feeling better soon. Everyone has their days - ride it out and you will get over it sooner. That's what I always do.

Hey 'rosedale' girl...we all get down from time to time, it's human nature. The postcards sound like a great way to let your PP know you're just not up to writing lengthy letters right now. Go out and do something you love, this may lift your spirits and set you in a wrting freenzy, cheer up, it could be worse, you could be here in Rosedale waiting for yet another tornado to strike, lol.

When I can't write my "normal" letter, for whatever reason, I usually send a "Thinking of You" card, with a brief note, saying that I will write a full letter (soon, in a few days, when I'm feeling better, whatever fits). The card only takes a minute or two to fill out, and my pals always appreciate it. They still get a piece of mail, and they're assured that you're still there. As I matter of fact, I keep a supply of them here for those times when I just can't write a letter. I get some really nice ones, 2/$1.00 at the dollar store!
