Hi everyone, I haven't been watching the news closely so I hope I get this right, it seems that a man was executed in youngstown, ohio but it took over 2 and half hours. First they couldn't get a vein, then the vein they did manage to get collapsed, he even sat up and said about five times that it wasn't working, at one point they closed the curtain for about an hour so that the witness couldn't watch. One of the witness said that they heard grunting noises just before the curtain opened up and he died about 20 minutes later. I do not believe in the death penalty, and from what I heard about this gentleman I can see why. Can you imagine what he was going through those last few hours and the pain, anxiety? That is inhumane. Well I hope everyone has a good day. Darlene

These executers make me sick, how can they sleep at night?????? It shows that execution by injection is failing more and more, several times they had problems with execution by injections, it is a total disgrace, and totaly inhumain. I am against any way off execution, no matter if it is by electrocution, gas or injection. Or like they do in China, Iran or Kuwait by hanging or a shot to the head. People should stop playing god - this is useless People in the US should stand up against the DP - sorry I have to vent about this - but it is yet again a useless death. Micky - Belgium

this is like the Old Sparky story in Forida where they tried twice to execute and it went wrong. I think they did decide that it was inhumane to make repeated attempts to execute. Unfortunately, there is the law and then there is the administration. So as wrong as it is, it still happens.

| There is nothing new to this story only a name change... many State murders do not go to plan. I am not just talking about lethal injections. Go do some research, look at a few pics, then your tears will truly flow.

My husband said it was dumb, but I heard sometime ago that if you lived through the first attempt that they stopped and the prisoner lived, but my husband said that isn't the case, that they will keep trying until they suceed. It makes me wonder what went on behind closed curtains and his grunting. Darlene

Injection, I had 23 operation on my legs and still lost the left one above the knee. There are times that the pain shots do not work, women who have had a baby , just becasue they give you something , that doesn't mean it works. I have had knee replacement, that is the pits, the shots or that needle in you back doesn't alway work, be there done that. This in Ohio , one more reason, for life and you never get out alive, you sit in a 8 X 6, and you can think about all that you missed.
