Default Envelopes/Paper/Stationary

Hi guys, just a thought from another thread on stationary etc.

Are we allowed to send such items with our regular letters who would we have to use approved vendors?

Thanks
Emma

I think it depends on the State and each facility, each place is different, i'd recommend checking the website or asking you pal

If it is any help I have sent my pp a few sheets of plain paper in with the letter. Don't think envelopes would be allowed because of drugs being concealed on the seal surface. That is only a common sense thought and not from first hand experiance.

I only have expereince with Florida but its rules are as bad as anyone.

I can send ten sheets of stationery, or, ten blank greeting cards, and ten envelopes at a time either enclosed with a letter or in a sparate envelope. The stationery cannot be in a box.

What I have done in the past is send ten sheets of stationery spaced out three times in a week so my Pal gets 30 sheets over the following week....nothing bad happened as a result.

Tried the same thing with photos...printed off five to a sheet and sent three sheets for a total of fifteen pictures....the limit is ten sheets per envelope...nope ten pictures...so they got kicked back.

Best thing to do is check with the DOC mail rules.

Hope this helps

Tom
