I regular print out pictures of myself out to send to my penpals, they like those pictures, it gives them an idea what I am doing all the time, and they can see a part of the world trhough my eyes.

Do you send regular pictures out to your friends? Or do you never sent any?

Micky, I send many pictures to my "PP"/hubby, as he loves receiving many pictures as well.Not only of me, but of our block,our yard and our town to give him an idea of what he will be coming home to.special places like the beaches by us, library,great restuarants etc. so yes, I do the same and he really likes that. I print out some pictures on the computer of myself for him as well too..

I don't send alot of pictures but, when my PP sent me a picture of her wearing her prison uniform. I took it to work and told the guys it was my old cellmate and she was really a man. She's fine as froghair so quite a few wanted to know why I took parole.Hee,hee.

For me, i honestly dislike my own photo taken, and besides i'm usually the one taking the pics.(smiles) I must admit though, my friend has more pics of me than my family i'm sure. While i was able to visit we took 3 most days, 2 for his memory box and one for my own. Now i have a greater understanding what pics really mean and represent to him through his eye's, i go out of my way to take him with me looking through my eye's.(smiles)
I have taken my friend on a few dates, shared meals, including BBQ's and birthdays, captured my eldest sons driving skills, graduation from high School, returning from his first days work , New push bike for the youngest, the post box i send my mail off in, our mail man passing me his letters, our local shopping center, the beach, parks, family pets, friends, extended family, kids playing in the pool, school awards, etc, etc. Now i automatically grab the camera and click, where as before unless it was a special occassion the camera was hardly used.
For me it is just something small i can share and give that helps make his days a little brighter, and let him know he is a very much loved and valued part of our family, and in turn i smile knowing the enjoyment he gets.
My other friends i send a lot less, but i do send pic's.

With my first letter i send the most recent picture of me. I have also send some pictures from me as a child and i have send pictures of my loved ones; like my sister and friends!

Back in early Spring when everything was coming into bloom here, I went out and took pictures of the forsythia, azaleas, wisteria, dogwood, etc. and I sent it to some of my pals...I also volunteer with a birthday card program and I just slipped a picture in with the card with birthday wishes.

I got so many comments. One fella (b'day) wrote back to tell me that he was reminded of the flowers he always saw growing up. One of my PPs told me how much he liked seeing something outside the walls and helping him to remember the outside.

How much they appreciate what we sometimes take for granted.

I usually send pictures after coming back from a holiday. He has hundreds (no joke) of pictures from different travels. Also I like to take same city trips in my country every once in a while and always take my camera. And then once in a blue moon I send him a picture of me

i have never in my life taken so many pics as i do now for my pp

He recently informed me he was being warned for a writeup cause he has over 400 pics in his cell...

I send him at least 4 pictures a week of me, the kids, house, stuff like that.

Yes,, my photo not with first letter though,,, soon after,, and pics of place's I thought would be interesting,,,, esp the one where I was at a performance of an Elvis Impersonator,,, which half of it ended up being a lady who bent over in frt of the camera,,, just as I hit the button,,,intersting shot,,,,, LOL

I thought i was the only one sending out a lot of pics, I really like to send these pictures of all my travels, they really like that, and it gives them an eye on the world.
First they where commenting on the fact that i send them a lot of scenery pictures, and that i was never in them, now these days, they love the pictures I send them from myself, and it really makes them happy.
Not that I am Brad Pitt, but the guys love me for who i am they claim (hummm).
