This somewhat the same as Raquels76 question. I am not a relative of the inmate but he wants me to bring his mother who is in poor health and is allowed contact visits. According to Skye, my chances are almost nil, but X-ray seems to think I would be allowed contact visits if I brought her to the visit. This inmate is in Level 2 and in Ad Seg. He is placing me on his visitor's list in June. What do you think?

First, my pp said he was going to ask for "special" permission, then he suggested both of us talk to the Warden to get permission. What I am concerned with is his level and the fact that he is on Ad.Seg. It is about a four hour drive from where his mother lives to the unit. I hate to be just a taxi service and then not get to see him. I know that I could have a separate visit, but that would mean another trip and then it would be a non contact visit. I am sure SKYE is right and the TDCJ doesn't care about special needs or what I would like. I mentioned visiting my pp's family a while back and this in relation to that.

I only know what my PP told me. :-)
Your safest bet may be to call the prison, itself. I know that I did that for my "special visit", and they were very responsive to my concerns and questions.
