OK! I know its three months away...but I also know how hard it is to come up with new ideas for what to get our Pals for Christmas.

Last year it was the 42" flat screen with the surround sound....the year before that it was the new stereo system...and I am just out of ideas for this year! LMAO!!!

OK! Last year she got, a star named after her....she adopted an endangered Canadian polar bear cub...and she got a gift certificate for the twice a year special canteen order.

So we can do the gift certificate again cause she can always use socks and underwear. But how many stars and polar bears...or other animals for that matter... does a girl really need??

I have found an organization called Angel Tree that is a faith based organization operating through a broad range of churches...which makes it non-denominational Christian as far as I can tell. In any event, they raise money to purchase Christams gifts for the children of men and women who are in prison....then deliver the gifts to the children in their parent's name! I think this a pretty good thing to spend my money on!

Then I thought....what if we make the donation to Angel Tree in our Pal's name and have the organization send her the thank you card? That would make her feel real good...she would still get a little something from us through her account...and know that she has put a smile on a child's face at Christmas at the same time.

Now that is all I have been able to come up with...anyone else have any ideas for gifts for people who get so damn little!!!!

Angel Tree does a wonderful job of bringing joy to children of offenders at Christmas by providing toys and gifts.

I'm at a loss as well! And not only that, but my special PP's birthday is 4 days before christmas so I have 2 events to think of so close to each other!

gosh, hammonds... could you not just combine them?

Was also wondering - as for xmas cards - maybe we could do a merry xmas thread for our pps?

And also cards - i know no glitter/glue etc is allowed, but what about those pop-up cards, or dec-o-page detail on them? does anyone know whats allowed and what isnt?!

Don't want to send anything that's going to get returned at the last minute!

Christmas will be interisting this year. I will be sitting on the beach. I bought a condo in cartagena colombia.

A lot has changed in my life in recent months, and it's all for the best.

Darn it i hit submit too quick.

I think my greastest give of the year was to a family in Bogota Colombia.

They are very poor with 7 kids, the smallest an infant. The infant was kidnapped for 5 days and luckily returned safe, after being caught by police and the kidnappers mother.

The mother and father were devistated. While in Colombia we bought them some of the basic things they needed, and sent clothing and toys for the children.

Our Church here have a society that we can donate christmas gifts to and they distribute to the families who have very little.
