To older gay men interested in writing young men in prison claiming to be gay. Many of them are actually straight doing what is called "Pen-Paling". They lead older, professional, lonely men on saying they'll relocate, move in with, etc. w/the pen pal upon release just to get money from you. After their release, you'll never hear from them again. I'm not saying this applies to EVERYONE, or that you shouldn't take the time to write to a prisoner. I'm just saying please be cautious! Use you're instincts, they usually won't deceive you.

I used to do some volunteer work for an internet pen pal sight... we got a lot of guys posting ads pretending to be women too.. you have to watch out for that.

There are the decietful ones then there are the good intention ones..it is sad that some of the deceitful ones ruin it for the ones whom are sincere..again this subject has been talked about repeatedly on this board in many diffrent threads....read people.
