Is anyone PenPal to someone in above (APSC)? If so, who & do you have any feedback on how it is for inmates there?

My pp is in there and is having a bit of a nightmare at the moment as for no apparent reason they moved him to another cell with someone who is getting on his nerves and when you are in an 8'x 10'cell it can seriously wind them up. I understand it gets very hot too their. There are prisoners who want to make sonething of their lives and then there appear to be an even larger number continuing their previous "trades". There was a serious hostage incident recently and you can read about it on the Net. The prison is very helpful to family and friends if you need to ask any questions. I am still finding out about day to day life in there.

What location (Florence, Eyman, Lewis, etc.) and Unit name is your PP in?

Hi mine is in Lewis Rast Unit and if he stays out of trouble will be moving to Morey Unit in August. What about yours?

My man is in Lewis prison as well and for the most part it isn't that bad for him. He has a good job, and just got moved to a new cell with someone he gets along with, his old cellie was driving him crazy. Huddles maybe they might move yours! It does get super hot there but for the most part Matt seems to be ok considering the circumstances. If your considering on writing to someone there i know that the hostage situation was really scary, but don't let that stop you from writing an inmate.. Have fun!

sorry I do not know anything of the prison you are curious about. But if you have a spare moment and want to write to someone in California I can tell you massive amount about how it works here. Also, either becuase of background check, or some such, here I have been on many visitors lists and have never had to stop one to get to another. odd that in some states they would do that. Problem is CA is a big state and i live at the bottom so it gets crazy at times when they are spread out all over the state. The one I hate the most is one near the Oregon border, quite a long way to go.

As far as the question who do you write I have found from past experience not to share unfortunately it has been used in deceptive ways by unscrupulous people, that is an area to leave personal and if a problem with a pp on WAP I would myself talk to one of the mods in private email, as far as info on different prisons that on post. Just a warning not all posters have good intentions and this is a public forum. It is unfortunate to me we cannot share due to this problem, for the good ones here.
