| Today, I received another letter from a different inmate tell me my pen pal was "running game" He said he was telling me this because he didn't want people to think all inmates were like that. He said he hoped I would find a nice pp to write to. I sent him a Thank you card. |

| damn that is sad that others have to tell you that..What are you going to do?

| CET how did you respond to your PP about this? I have a similar situation (that's extremely complicated). I just recieved the letter today and am not sure if I should respond to the inmate that sent me the letter first to get some answers. Shall I take the other route and tell my pp when he calls. But then I worry what he'll do to the other inmate. It's a very touchy situation that I passed on to someone else out here. But he mentioned that he doesn't want to have the goverment ask me questions. I understand your not getting the whole picture but really i just want to know how you handled that. I'm very confused, livid, scared and stressed. I mean how the hell did this guy get my address. I know it wasn't from my pp because supposedly these two are not on talking terms. Any input would be beneficial as im not sure who to turn to (lack of trust forming in my heart). Thank you so much.

| CET i personally think you are doing a good job in handling the situation. If he is "using" you he will tire of writing and not recieving any benifiets, and you will know. I honestly hope if this is the kind of person he is, he will wake up before it is too late, (if that is at all possible) and realize you are not like others and he would be crazy to lose your friendship. I have always wished you only the very best, this is no different.

| The way I am handling it is this...I am still writing as if I hadn't heard anything. I told my pp that finances are tight and I wouldn't be able to send money in November. In December, I will tell him the same thing etc etc. I write to the first inmate that wrote me without telling my pp anything about that. This lets me know what is going on. They are not speaking and I don't want to do anything that would fan the fire. I will just keep writing and let it run its course. The worst thing to do is start passing information back and forth. These guys play for keeps. I hope that helps. |
