I'm sorry that I can't be of much help, I've never sent money to my pp...

But I think you have to write his name on it, as well as his DOC number or whatever number he has, on the receiver end. Write your own name where it says sender.

Maybe there's more information when you look at the prison rules? It could be that you could just send it to him and the prison will see the money order, and put the money in his account?

* I really don't have a clue and I hope someone else might be able to help you out *

the quickest, best, and guaranteed way to send funds is through jpay.com Its worldwide take less that 24 hours for the inmate to recieve the fund. They get a reciete, you get one with the statement. Its five dollars to make a deposite.

I dont use Jpay, If I can wait to get my paycheck, then they can wait to receive their money order.

Thanks for both of your posts. Its just that there were so many different ways to send mo's that it got a litle confusing. This J-pay system seems a lot easier,i'll go check it out.

$15 dollars or more using western union. the bank is about twenty Im not sure how it would work with an inmate account. If you subtract the cost off postage, and covince, it well worth the jpay. a deposite slip can be lost in the mail as a possiblity, there are othere thing that could happen besides the the time it takes.

fifty cents, here. I guess Jpay would be easier, but I would rather see that extra five dollars go to my pal..Western Union charges sooo much to send money. And its not worth sending Western Union if your not going to send over a hundred bucks.
