I wonder how that juror would of felt if it was one of their family members, or yet himself that was put in that position. I feel sorry for the years that man lost and his family members, but I will pray that he finds peace to go on and praise him for not holding any grudges against the victim. Is it possible to sue for wrongful conviction?

That was what I was wondering if the wrongly convicted person is given financial compensation for the time, no it does not make up for the time they lost but it can be used to help them adjust to the transition that is needed? In canada a few releases after a wrongful convictions were followed up with monetary compensation . does this occur in the US? arri

The latest news on this guy is that the state legislature is discussing paying him $450,000 to "compensate" him for 18 years of his life.

This just makes me sick to no end. No amount of money will ever be enough to make up for the precious years of his life that he has lost, not to mention what he had to go thru behind the wire....I hope he is adjusting well to his newfound freedom.

Thank you Eagle Fan for the update, I am glad he is getting compensated, but that equels out to $7.96 a day, that doesn't seem like much when you add it up does it?
