I am wondering if there are a few problems going on in Texas atm?

I wrote to my pen pal R., who is on Death Row, on the 5th of April. I sent a letter to my other pp B., she is serving LWOP in Texas, the same day.

Saturday last week B. wrote me apologizing that it took her so long to reply because she has been ill. So I wonder if something might have happened with my letter to R. or if Polunksky might have some issues with the mailroom or if it is on lockdown?

Does anyone have a clue how I can find out if my letter reached R. and if he is able to answer?

I really hope that I didn´t write something wrong so that he decided to not answering me.

Anyway, I thought that I could send a picture postcard at the end of may asking if everything is alright and if he just decided to stop writing if I haven´t heard from him until then. I just don´t want to wait. It was only my second letter to him so if he dedides that we do not fit I would look for another one to write to.

Im really not sure about that unit my guy isnt on that one. To be honest your best just sending a short note and just ask him if hes going to write blah blah and if he isnt and you dont hear from him then maybe you should find yourself a new PP.

I just had a look at PTO.

Over there there is a thread called "Polunksy mail?" and there are a lot of woman asking the same question. Seems like mailroom is horrible slow at the moment.

I guess I will wait for a few weeks more until I am sending a note asking.

Really? I'm not experiencing this with Polunsky. I sent a 2 JPay's on May 8th and I got a reply on the 14th to both. They were mailed on the 10th and 11th so about 6 days to send and get a reply. Not bad at all. We are at the stage now where we are sending letters every couple of days so I get a letter every couple days.

Maybe it's letters to the UK that are slow?

No. I think it's the row mail that's being slow. I haven't gotten anything from this month at all (I hear from him once a week). Last thing I got was posted 4/28.

Its probably to get at all the groupies then, maybe they have been complaining about something.

I know why my mail is taking a bit longer. Nothing to do with my groupie status.
