If there is one thing i hate it's the DP and the victims who's lives were lost behind it and the many who suffer years after, only creating more victims and loss.

While i still personally believe i would seek death over life being caged 23/7 does not mean i wish it for another.

I think this say's a lot and while i am sure many support Marvin's death, other like myself continue to question the INjustice ......

On Tuesday, the use of Steinbeck's character to support the execution of those with less profound mental deficits was criticized harshly by the author's son.

"Prior to reading about Mr. Wilson's case, I had no idea that the great state of Texas would use a fictional character that my father created to make a point about human loyalty and dedication …. as a benchmark to identify whether defendants with intellectual disability should live or die," Thomas Steinbeck said in a statement.

"I am certain that if my father, John Steinbeck, were here, he would be deeply angry and ashamed to see his work used in this way," Steinbeck said.

Sometimes i get so emotional and pissed off with those who walk among us. I read Daniels story and i am sickened for so many reasons. I keep coming back with the same question though......No matter where we live in the world today sexual abuse of children continues, so how do we stamp it out not only in our own homes, but those of our neighbours?

I am sorry not only for the victims and other family members and friends who lost a loved one, but also sorry he lost his life in more ways than one.

I don't think you will ever stamp it out, its a sad truth. It can do one of two things to a person, you can go on and live with the hurt of sexual abuse or you can turn to crime yourself. I will tell you there is me who with alot of help can live with it BUT then there is my brother who turned to crime. We both went throw the same so what makes two people who were hurt by abuse go down the roads we went ??? i often ask that. I can understand my brother but not 100% like he will say to me "Mel how do you go on" its a sad fact of life that sexual abuse will carry on.
