    Default Hard back books

I want to send one of my pp's a book that I think will really help with. Its called the secret. I'm going to use amazon and i've searched for the paper back books but none seem to be in sight.

My pp's in David Wade correctional center. Homer , LA

I looked at the doc site and couldnt find anything.

I was wondering if they are allowed hard back books.

    Thank you in advance
Everyone has potential... it is an infinite resource that cannot be exhausted, but can be lost int he clouds of fear and complacency. it may take courage to embrace the possiblitities of your own potential, but once you've flown past the summit of your fears, nothing will seem impossible.

When evening falls, She'll run to me
Like whispered dreams, Your eyes can't see

Soft and warm, She'll touch my face
A bed of straw, Against the lace

as far as i know, the louisiana DOC allows hardback books, but you might want to confirm that with the mailroom before sending. i've sent hardback books to angola so i don't see why it would be a problem going to DWCC.

Most DOCs allow hardback books but the inmates would prefer not to have them because they are bulky and take up a lot of space. Plus the cost issue - my man always says that for the cost of a hardback book he'd rather I sent a few paperbacks. But he's in seg and has nothing to do other than to read. No work. No TV. No rec yard. No dayroom.
