Friendship and Advice Wanted Please.

I am a newbie to this site and also to writing as a pen pal to prisoners. I would love to be able to support and be the eyes and ears of a death row prisoner, but the one that I have written too doesn't reply. I have sent him three letters and included photographs, postcards of the area in which I live and funny jokes and shared my poetry with him. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong. Should I move on, or just keep persevering?

Has anyone else had the same problem? I know these guys have a lot on their minds, but I am confused to see that having requested a pen pal he just hasn't written back.

Please, can anyone offer me some advice, and I would love to find a few friends on here.
