First of all my dear, you will get replies. A letter is paper gold. When you actually recieve the letter is contingent upon what going on at the particular prison at any time. Inmates move around a bit and when something happens in the yard-sometimes the mail is not delivered. Also the delivery is irratic. Sorting and delivering mail is not high on their priority list. I do not see anything wrong with looking at the guys prior to writing to them. Human curiosity-right? The picture thing is personal preference, although I do like that you did not send your picture right away. I think it good to establish a friendship first. The only thing that I have to caution you about is that the letters can be very heart wrenching. Writing is a meduim that allows a window into a very sacred part of the soul-especially in this particular situation. Also because of the meduim it is a way of getting closer than you ever imagined-and it can be compelling. You seem to be a very nice person-so watch your heart and make some boundaries. It can be life changing and heart breaking at the same time.

Now I feel like I didnt prepaire myself well enough. Will I cry? now thinking about it and my persona...yes I will.
Of course it is unfair that we can sit and pick a prisoner in a catalogue like. And they dont know untill later point who the person look like they are writing too. I just want a serious PP as I'm serious myself and that I dont end wasting my time, when I could been helping someone else through his day

Stay open dear one. You cannot prepare. Give up attachment to results and just savor each moment. It is impossible to entertain the notion of "wasting your time" if you are sincere and receptive you will be the giver as well as the reciever. I am interested in what a serious pen-pal equates to you. They are just letters. Relax and just write.
