Dating Prisoners

Hi. I actually have no idea what I am doing. I grew up in a small town. My father was an attorney and my mother was a kindergarten teacher. I have three brothers (orthopedic surgeon, Army Ranger, and basketball coach), two other sisters (both nurses) and myself (graduating in a year with a degree as a BSN, RN and hoping to attend graduate school to earn a degree as a Nurse Practitioner. I am attending a highly prestigious University and no matter how many guys I date I seem to always want to date the 'bad boy'. I don't even think the guy who smokes a little pot, steals his mother's money, or cheats on his wife is bad enough. I guess I was wondering for any of you that have actually written to the prisoners if it is a smart thing to do. I mean do they write back? Do they call? Are their pictures really them? I guess I just need some help, so please HELP!

 | Most states have an online lookup tool where you can see there "official mugshot", charges and release date to alleviate your fears of dis-honesty. Type in the "state" and "DOC" or "Federal BOP" he is a Federal inmate for information and the look-up tool. I am also a nurse and man-o-man do I know what you mean about those bad boys! Unfortunately in the long run they are a  for a peaceful happy home life!Now, don't anybody bash me. I'm talking about terminal "bad boys" not reformed ex inmates who learn to hold down a good job for as long as they're able and promise not to break the law, do drugs, and cheat!  and  I love this forum. Though I've only been here since Sept. |

| | Girlfriend, The other two have learned there lesson well. I am no better. I could not image welcoming for dysfunction into my life then I had previous. I do believe in change. If I did meet someone who was SERIOUS THIS TIME I would consider it. I am a person who needs alot of attention and honesty. a person who is incarcarated will sell you the world right now. All they have is time! I wouldnt use this site as a dating tool it is a big MISTAKE |

I have dated and been engaged a year or more at different times to men with no criminal record that I saw everyday before I ultimately found out things were not as I was led to believe. One time I had been married to the man for 10 years! I think what every body cautions is just to make SURE you are looking at reality when you make important decisions...... Frankly about anyone but especially someone who has already exhibited things like anger or impulse control issues or addictions....and who one has not spent loads of time with on eqaul grounds in their own environment. I don't think anyone meant to bash anyone. I certainly didn't.  |

| | well i wouldnt use this site for dating purposes...but it is a lovely way to bring people together. i met my penpal on this site and we have been writing each other an noe emailing through corrlinks and he is one of the best people to ever enter my life, we have such a bond its unreal...the only downside is im from uk  but no matter what i have found a special friend for life x |
