Heart of gold

People have definitely had great relationships so, no spoil sport here, however: your heart of gold alarms me ever so slightly. Please proceede in a kind but cautious way so that you may be sure your heart of gold doesn't get taken advantage of! Naturally, that could happen anywhere, but there is a higher instance of usery going on at times with the "getting to know you" phase with certain inmates. Don't give too much of yourself away emotionally at first and don't open your wallet. If someone hears you are looking for a mate, true, could be love at first sight, love of your life, fairy tale and all that. I believe that could happen. I also believe it could prick up someone's ears to think, "here's my sucker" so... don't be one. And I wish you best of luck with your kind intentions.

OK, she may have a beautiful smile and yes probably does still deserve to be loved by someone, but she could also be a complete train wreck! You may well have either scared her off by being so forward without even knowing her, or played right into her hands so that she now strings you along on promises with no intention of fulfilling any of them when she gets out.

My friend, you have gone about this all the wrong way Living in the same town, you may find that you've got in with someone who could potentially ruin your life - and I say that openly as one who is married to an inmate.
