What do you talk to your friends about? How would you start a conversation with a new person in the free world?

Just write a short introduction to you - age, employment/education, where you live, your likes and dislikes, and ask a couple of questions that they can respond to. That's all there is to it.

I'd start of by introducing yourself just as Sunray states I think it's good to be as positive as possible and include what it was that inspired you to write to them, what is was you liked about their profile and picture Nothing too heavy to start with! Save all that for later lol xx

I agree, I just write what comes up in my mind ... to me the thing is to find someone you "connect" with to create a long term frienship (at least to me) so the more you share your real thoughts, the quicker you find out if you think alike ... I did not even start with the "user stuff"... I did explain what motivated me to do this and what I hoped to gain; high level I told them who I was but thoughts to me come first and then the details of your "day to day" life ... just be YOU...share

Hi hunnie, great advice from the other girls. I just sat down looked out of the window and started to write. My pp is on death row and I just imagined that he could see nothing but the inside of his cell and wrote my intro through what I was watching outside, then went on to a short who am I etc. Once I had started, it was easy to carry on writing. Things just pop up into your head. I went on the net to find a couple of jokes and quotes on friendship, printed them off and posted them too. Just go with your gut and don't worry, just enjoy. Nette.
