I agree with Peanut and the other posters that the constant haranguing of the President in this country is tragic (the schools speech was so over the top as to leave one at a loss for words) and infuriating to the max. I love President OBama (even though I dont agree with everything he has done, i agree with much of it). The vitriole against him by certain right wing elements just shows their spiritual bankruptcy and emotional immaturity. Led by hate radio and Fox Noise, I fear our President will be murdered and pray for his safety every time it comes to mind. Being an out gay man, I have experienced, in a small way, some of the irrational vitriole that is being directed towards him. It all just makes me very sad and embarassed for my society.

Interestingly, my mother (who is 88) says conservatives treated FDR the same way, right down to the calls in the media for his death.) There was even a term for it, the Roosevelt Haters! So our new President is in good company.

I will do everything I can to continue to support him and his very important work. He already has my vote for 2012.
