Default Re: racism/gangs

This is a universal problem and it is going to take a lot of work to break these gangs apart.

There are parts in Colombia where authorities have no control because of the cartels.

They didn't join the cartels to survive either, they joined to have the power and money that comes along with it.

The country has tried endlessly to combat this problem, even going as far as reaching out to the US for help in convicting and housing high ranking officials that they apprehend.

There comes a time when you have to look at the actual problem and combat it. Coddling only enables.

While there may be adequate reasons one may join a gang, I feel the communities and even the prisons have to set a standard that this behavior and chaos can not and will not continue. Then focus on the why's and how's.

This is deadly behavior in our prisons and it is not a thing for survival. It is masqueraded as such, but at the end of the day it is to merely continue the criminal acts they were doing while they were in the free world.
