You best bet is to send the post card by itself . When writing a person In TDCJ you should have their name and number on as well as your return address on every piece of mail . I would send postcards separately TDCJ frowns on blan or un addressed postcards . Oddly they allow photos the same shape and size of a postcard . My guess is some post cards have some sort of gang associations . That is why Micky Mouse shirts are banned in visitation a gang has appropriated him

If a letter is taking a month to reach an offender in TDCJ chances are he or she might be up to no good and is being watched by STG . Then there is DR and their gruopies who have been misusing mail so all of their letters are are least read many are copied . The same would be true for a verified STG offender . Despite those who think there is some sort of conspiracy ter is not TDCJ does not have the man power to do that . They can barley keep enough bosses to run the units. Some offenders are tagged to have their mail scrutinized and some letters might not get to them and many have large negative mailing / contact list because of abuse of mail not because TDCJ is out to get that person . Yes there will be mistakes on larger units . If you are writing DR on Polunsky it might take a while because of a few offenders / gruopies behavior and abuse of mail .
