NY Paole Commissioner G. Chris Ortloff was arrested by federal authorities in Albany last night (Former Assemblyman Behind Bars - News Story - WPTZ Plattsburgh). While the nature of his alleged crimes yet remains unclear, at least one news agency is reporting the 61-year-old Ortloff arranged to meet an underage girl for sex (Chris Ortloff arrested in child porn sting - Lake Placid News).

In cases where now-disgraced Commissioner Ortloff sat in on or presided over hearings as which parole release was denied, there may be a good chance at reversing those decisions based on Commissioner Ortloff's own legal problems. This would be particularly true if the investigation into his criminal activity reveals he was engaged in such prior to or at the time the decisions denying release were handed down against your loved ones.
