Sorry for your son and for you, I voted in the minority I am afraid, be moved if there is the option. I also feel that in prison one should stand up for yourself because from what I have heard and read, reputation and respect (prison respect) is what will keep you safe inside.

Snitching is definately not an option but nor is paying someone elses debt and living in fear every day.

It is easy for us here in the free world to comment though and very glad not to be the mother of a son going through this, we dont teach our kids to fight but we do try to ensure they defend themselves and not get bullied. I speak from recent and present experience with my own young son, who is having issues at school because he is raised to be polite.
