The Mom of one of my pen pals is very ill and there is no hope. The fact is she will die soon. My pen pal loves his mother very much, she is his everything. He wants to visit his mother in hospital and filled out a form to get permission to visit her. The prison gave him the option, he can EITHER visit her in hospital once OR he can go to her funeral, but not both. How cruel is this? He has to make the decision to see her dead or alive. This makes me sad and angry and I am very worried about my pen pal. He decided to visit her in hospital for a last time to say goodbye and when all the other family members will be at the funeral, caring for eachother and consoling eachother, he will sit in his cell being lonely thinking of his beloved Mom.
I don't understand why he can't visit her in hospital AND going to the funeral.
