Last night I got one of those telemarketing calls for magazine subscriptions. In addition to the three magazines that I ordered for myself, I was offered 3 free magazines. I had those sent as a gift subscription to my friend who is an inmate in Attica NY. When I gave his address, the person on the other end of the line was taken aback by what I had done, as he too was an inmate for several years. He in turn DOUBLED my order and now other inmates will benefit! Please check with the facility guidelines on acceptable mail before sending your gift subscriptions of magazines, or newspapers as each facility has different rules. Just thought I'd share a good experience with a telemarketer (who would have thunk it?!?)hee hee!!
