Hello Pen Pal Nation,
If you don’t value honesty then you shouldn’t read this! For those who do, this is for you!
I am a 26 year old Muslim man that has been incarcerated since the age of 19. My luggage is pretty heavy right now but I am going through an appeals process and I believe my freedom is in sight. That has been the hardest part of my life but also the most teachable. For me I’ve become a lot more understanding, grateful and open-minded.
I started this talking about honesty because I believe if you build a friendship and it’s not build on the right things it won’t last. Over the last year I’ve met a lot of people who should have degrees on lying. I believe I am too good to be lied to; we all should!
I am looking for someone who’s very open-minded, optimistic about life in general, that can think for themselves, that stands up for what’s right, even when they stand alone and can challenge me to become a better person. This journey has been like college, mentally and spiritually. Weight, age and race are of no importance. I love women of all races and backgrounds and cultures.
Can anyone tell me: Why don’t fathers understand the best thing you can do for your child is to love his/her mother? Why do we continue to treat people as a priority that treat us as an option?

Always respectful,
