Stillwater Prison Literacy Project - This site provides an account based on the personal experiences of Thorwald (Tory) Esbensen, MicroEd's President and Instructional Designer. For three years, Mr. Esbensen conducted a project at Minnesota's maximum security prison in Stillwater. Its purpose was to teach illiterate prisoners to read. He wrote and donated all the software for this project, and one of his sons, who is president of his own computer company, donated the hardware.
