I am both a writer and a legal assistant, writing primarily about my own case, albeit with a record of helping many other prisoners over the years.  I’m a writing rascal and have authored over 600 published news articles, letters to the edited, op-ed columns and short entries into books.  There are over 300 media mentions about my letters to the editor, news articles, activities and events I’m involved in and similar references.

As for writing about my legal case, please understand that, at my original trial, the police and prosecutors committed egregious perjury; they said they only had a two page police report about a missing person and a four page police report about my arrest.  Finally, in October 2006, an honest prosecutor released some 200+ pages of police reports that clearly show I am a victim of noble cause corruption – the prosecutors and police committed perjury at my trial, as I originally said at both my trial and my sentencing.  In the law this is called an unconstitutional Brady/Bagley violation.

Accordingly I am now pursuing both a Petition for Writ of Actual Innocence and testing of the DNA evidence for exoneration.  DNA testing never existed when I was arrested, so this has been an epic battle for a decade, with two trips to Maryland’s highest court, the Court of Appeals, where that court has twice remanded my case to the lower court for further hearings.

Finally, the lead detective in my case is the same lead detective in the Michael Austin case and he has already been exonerated due to the fabrication of evidence in his case by this same detective.  Although this fact is well documented, WriteAPrisoner.com does not permit mention of the name of this detective.  However, one can easily Google Austin’s wrongful conviction and ascertain that Austin receive some $1.4 million in compensation for the noble cause corruption.

So I’m seeking people to assist those who have documentary proof that they were wrongfully convicted.  In my case the documents tell the story and that is why the lower court has been so recalcitrant over the past six years in providing a hearing and final disposition on these issues!
