The first thing you need to know about me is I am innocent and poor.  I left my mother’s home at the age of 23, on October 6, 1984 and I haven’t been home since.

I was illegally arrested, tried and convicted under swamp law for a crime I did not commit and given 50 years to life, a death sentence by proxy.  The crime occurred on September 27, 1984 in Rochester, New York at 5:00 pm.  Three masked men rushed into a bar in an attempt to commit robbery.  The masked men ended up killing the owner and a patron.

Where was I when this crime was being committed?  Home!  My alibi witnesses testified to that fact.  There was never physical evidence linking me to the crime:  No identification, no finger prints or forensic evidence.

The linchpin of the DA’s case was the perjured testimony of jail house informants who obtained “get out of jail free cards”.  One informant was released based on his testimony against me.  Shortly thereafter he committed a murder in the course of a robbery.

The prison grapevine is whispering that the 2 jailhouse informants are ready to tell the truth after 27 years but I don’t have the resources to interview, get affidavits, obtain an attorney and file an innocence claim.  That’s why I need your help!  If an innocent man falls in the forest and no one hearts his plea of innocence is he still innocent?  I will probably die in prison, an innocent man, without your help.
