My name is Jerry Zornes.  In ’95 I was falsely charged with aggravated rape.  In ’99 I was finally convicted and sentenced to life in prison.

The alleged victim was immediately taken to L. S. U. Medical Center.  The Doctor that did the examination stated in his report the hymen is clearly visible and intact.  The following day the victim is examined a second time by a Doctor of the D. A’s choosing.  This Doctor files a report saying the hymen is completely gone.

In at least 4 cases prior to mine this second Doctor has been caught lying on the stand, losing valuable evidence, and when contradicted by other Doctors she changed her statement and said she made a mistake. 

The D. A. used this second Doctor’s report to get the investigator to change the charge to aggravated rape.  Then showed it to the mother and sister of the victim to coerce them into a state of hate and revenge; then used it at the grand jury to get an indictment.

In the victim’s first statement there was no allegation of crime.
The first Doctor’s examination proves no crime.
All the lab reports prove no crime.

When I was finally give a trial the D. A. repeatedly told the jury, “you will hear from the second Doctor”, and a device she uses called a scoloposcope, to make her examination but there was never a Doctor put on the stand, only a Volunteer Fire Fighter.

I have filed an actual innocence claim in the State Courts.  The District denied me, the Appeal Court denied me, and it is now in the State Supreme Court, since October 2008.

I need a lawyer to take this to the Federal Courts and show all the Constitutional violations.  As a Pro Se Defendant I don’t think I can do a Habeas Corpus that would get a proper review.

I am actually and factually innocent and a Fair Evidence Hearing would let me show all the proof.  Any lawyer that sees this case for what it is and is interested I want to hear from you.

The prosecutorial misconduct led to these Constitutional violations:  Fair trial, preparing a defense, Brady material, speedy trial, due process of law, ineffective counsel and, by my own lawyer, compulsory process.
