I have been wrongfully incarcerated since November 11 1998. The prosecution manufactured evidence in order to obtain convictions but incarceration has made it nearly impossible for me to gather the evidence needed to prove this.
The main purpose of this is to find somebody willing and able to assist with obtaining phone records and/or putting me in contact with a forensic linguist.
I currently have a habeas corpus petition pending in the federal courts but fear that this process could drag on for many more years. The evidence sought would certainly hasten federal review of my case.
Defense counsel had actually been the Senior Assistant Prosecutor and was involved in developing the case against me: which included the manufacture of evidence. His conflict of interest denied me a fair trial.
My story may be of interest to anyone concerned with justice or the incredible flaws that can arise in the American Criminal Justice System.
However, purely social correspondence is also welcomed.
Even after being kidnapped and held hostage by the state for over a decade, I still have some faith in humanity and maintain a sense of humor about things. My experience has really been a clear testament of the indomitable human spirit.
I look forward to meeting new people and forging new friendships. I hope to hear from you soon.
Sincerely,
Jeff Shaw
