Your Mail

Receiving your mail fills my days with glee,
As I open this letter,
I wonder who can this be???

Now I’m warm, smiling from ear to ear
Your letter is honest and uplifting,
Something I’ve searched for
From year to year.

Now we are friends
You open up with goals and dreams,
I sit back and listen
With wishful thoughts,
Thinking…
What could this mean???

Expressions from your heart
Have me wanting more
As mail time approaches
I tend to wag my tail,
Sitting by the door.

This is what your mail does to me.
My heart skips a beat
It’s filled with joy
Knowing I have a friend
I now longer have to feel alone,
Your letter is heartfelt
Way better than a text through a phone.
