| STEPPING OUT
Sometimes we sit as life passes by,
Never really understanding our purpose we try,
To mend our pain and heal our hurt,
So often with destruction and death we flirt.
In order to cope, we live life fast,
Always hoping to replace the past.
Rarely do we see the good inside,
Behind our lies we try to hide.
We create a façade and day by day;
We struggle with conflict that blinds our way.
I know deep down within my soul;
My God forgave and made me whole.
So with that in mind I push ahead;
With gratitude I’m alive when I should be dead. |
