As I was contemplating how I should write this ad, I figured the best approach would be to just be me. Honest and truthful. After all, these are the foundations of very real relationship.

Nice to meet you. People that know me call me “Penny”. I’m looking for one female friend who enjoys writing, who’s willing to share her thoughts, feelings, time and herself with me. And in return, I will do the same. A few years ago, I would have felt funny writing stuff like this, but they say with time comes change and with change comes growth. I now understand what real wealth is… family and good friendships.

Before coming to prison, I was living in Hollywood, A, attending trade school and bartending, I have two passions in my life, charity and film. I want to write and direct movies. Describing myself, I would say that I have simple ways, but big goals and dreams. I’ve come to see life as a journey full of lessons and that I’m here to learn. Today, I spend most of my time educating myself and volunteering with my fellow prisoners who are seeking to better their lives.

My family is my strongest support and I’m blessed to not want for much. However I do miss the excitement and intrigue that a new friend can bring. A good conversation has the power to crate such a monumental change behind these prison walls.
