David Sarnowski is a 51 year old, divorced, white male. He was an accountant and his crime was embezzlement to support a gambling habit, and to have funds to help out a female friend that was in a precarious financial situation. Ironically he did not use the ill-gotten gains for any material additions to his life, which has always been relatively simple.
David is a very kind man and loving father of two grown daughters. His positive qualities are his outrageous sense of humor, his intellect, and his kindness. He has become religious in prison and feels that his sentence, while harsh, is a blessing in that it forces him to deal with his 'personal demons' that lead him into the gambling spiral.
He is lonely and bored. Unfortunately, his family members do not contact him very often. His biggest wish is to have communication with the 'outside world' and to know that he is not a forgotten person.
