My name is Riley. I am seeking a friend, in hopes of nurturing a meaningful friendship. As anyone could imagine, physical, mental and spiritual health is extremely important during the course of anyone’s incarceration. The million- dollar question is how does anyone maintain all three without sabotaging the other?
The solution to this extraordinary question is found in this verse, “And be not conformed to this world:, but be you transformed by the renewing of your mind.” In order to accomplish this metamorphosis, there must be a total transformation of the heart and mind. We must change our mind, to change our lives.
It is also paramount that we embrace spiritual health. Education is also a spiritual transformation. All education, all knowledge is cumulative and builds personal power. Since my incarceration, I have obtained an Associate’s in electronics Technology, as well as several vocational certificates. Change is the end result of all true learning.
I transformed my mentality and evolved considerably on an emotional and psychological level. While achievement is fleeting, it is “relationships,” that make our life meaningful, rewarding and enjoyable. Though I have obtained knowledge and physical strength. My real strength is my flexibility and adaptability. I look forward to beginning this journey, to explore a newly found friendship.
