Hello,

My name is Bernardo.  I'm from Nicaragua and have been on Death Row in Texas for about 13 years.  I am looking for a person with a genuine heart with whom I can reciprocate a friendship based in sincerity and loyalty.

I have no family in the US to help or visit me. Writing and receiving letters helps distract me from the desperation of my situation.  I am a human being with virtues and weaknesses, but I am also an honorable and loyal person.  My trial turned into a sad drama with false accusations and judicial manipulation in which evidence was deliberately excluded.  Even my birth certificate is not yet accepted in spite of legal proofs.   I am appealing my conviction because I want the truth to be known.

I am a positive person, sociable and with a sense of humor.  I like to draw, read, write poems and listen to inspirational music.  I also like to create new clothing designs, jewelry and cars.  My favorite sport is martial arts.  I also study the criminal law.  I love and miss all the nature of the free world.
