Imagine….Being trapped in a cold, emotionless world, surrounded by anger, fear, pain, guilt, innocence, concrete and death. This is the world I have been enduring in for the past 24 years. Without truth, there can be no understanding. With God, all things are possible.
Just because I’m suffering from the consequences of my past mistakes, doesn’t mean I’m unworthy of being someone’s friend. I’m in search of a friend who truly understands the challenges of being a friend through whatever. Friendship is a luxury that many cannot afford, because it cost too much trust and responsibility.
Many in society have a misconception about men in prison! My past doesn’t define who I am today! In here, I energize my spirit with positivity and creativity through my poetry talents, searching for truth as well as managing my sanity with playing basketball, reading, assisting the youth and listening to a wide variety of music.
I offer to all a few kind words, stimulating conversation and laughter. I have no prejudices! My greatest fear is losing my mother while incarcerated. In life opportunities multiply as they are seized! I patiently wait.
