Time….
Time is a crazy thing. Time can divide. Then it can also create strength and solidarity. I strive for it to do the latter. It’s a double-edge sword. I do my best to progress with the passing of each day. Progress is keen, physically, mentally, and spiritually. It’s what keeps freedom an option.
I’ve been down for 19 months. Needless to say, I’m still currently adamantly fighting my case. The process takes time. There ain’t anything quick about it. If ever my tenacity be tested U think it’s now. I’m 28 years old, born on Nov. 11, 1983, in Hialeah, Florida. I’ve been in Dallas since I was a lil man. (2)
I’m the middle child of 5 kids; 3 boys and 3 girls (the Black Sheep). I’m half Cuban and half African -American. I like to say I’m a cool cat. I can be a good guy. (smile)
I’ve spent all my life in the Hood. I was raised deep in the urban sector of Dallas. Section A Housing, A.K.A. “The Projects,” mainly west and north Dallas.
In the midst of all the madness I find solace in staying in contact with close family members, reading and writing -- photos and visits, things that keep me in tune with the outside these fences. I guess you can say my hobbies are things like working out and music. Music is my drug. How I get high. Everything from “ghost writing” for other folks, outside of my own work, to the production aspect of it. It’s something I’ve always messed with.
I listen to everything, from Pink Floyd, Pantera and Red Hot Chili Peppers, to Tim McGraw, Al Green and 2-Pac. (smile) I don’t discriminate. (smile again) I’m nice with a tattoo gun or any kind of artwork. I don’t have kids, not besides my nieces and nephews.
I don’t know if I’m looking for anything serious or not. I got a bunch of stuff going on in my world/life right now. It would almost be selfish to ask for anyone’s full attention. I do know that friendship outlasts everything.
It’s human to want someone to connect with and vent with, someone to share the good, bad and the ugly with. That’s when the numbers get low. I’m not anywhere near perfect. I got a lot of scars, tattoos and war stories.
Be Safe and God Bless,
Sergio
