Well, this web site has limited me to less than 250 words so I’ll keep this introduction short. Since this is similar to a window that shows a small glimpse of me and mine, I’m enclosing a poem I wrote for a friend from my childhood that I lost in an unfortunate accident. But don’t be saddened, we all go through losses and make moves through personal growth and the more lemons we squeeze, the better the lemonade tastes, right? I’ve become a better man and have learned from my mistakes and I’m anxious to show the world how I’ve changed for the better.
Give me a chance and drop me a line.
Sincerely,
Ryan.
OUR MOUNTAIN
I’m blown away
And thankful
To be able to study you
On your
Mountain…striving…
…and in all certainty, I ain’t
So steady in my own becoming.
I suppose my confusion
Is my
Mountain…and inside my
Onward and upward climb
I frequent ill-sorted creatures that
Change me,
Inspire me, move me, break me.
The rest are mere skeletons to me:
Empty tones, sticks balanced on stones,
Treacherous idol thrones
Of a day younger, a day yester.
I’m so tired of the artificial boundaries
That frame individualism.
It’s me and you
Until the sky falls!
As an individual I’m limited in what I can obtain and impart.
What does a stone
Look like stoning a stone in
The name of never?
We are one!
Forever!
