Dear Reader:

Hello, my name is David Hager. I’m 26 years old. My birthday is July the Fourth.  I was born and raised in Harrison, Ark. I weigh 180 pounds, have bluish-gray eyes. I’m very, very competitive and athletic. I’m a cross between a jock and a hillbilly. I love working out and I love the outdoors. I like speed. Cars, trucks, bikes, rollercoasters. Have you ever jumped out of an airplane? If so I want to hear what it was like. I like the rush I receive from adrenaline. Life is short. I live for the here and now. If I haven’t done it then I want to.

I’m currently serving a 12-year prison sentence in the state of Arkansas for Aggravated Armed Robbery. I was arrested Halloween of 2004 and will be released about Christmas of 2013. After 8 years of incarceration in this world I feel disconnected with the outside world. I’m looking for someone I can connect with out there. Someone I can open up to and express my goals, feelings, wants, needs, fears, or even just someone to waste a few envelopes on. Because honestly, this is an escape for me, the 25 or 20 minutes it takes me to read and reread a personal letter 3 or 4 times. I’m no longer in prison. I’m in someone else’s thoughts.
