My name is Elliot but my chosen name is Jamaal Samad Shaker. My chosen name has a spiritual meaning.

The reason for my profile is to meet new people. I would love to meet people from all races. Hopefully we can become friends and give each other encouragement. If you're open-minded, down-to-earth and realistic we'll be able to converse with no problem. Know that I respect everyone's struggle because I'm going through struggle myself. Incarceration has taught me patience, which tells me keep a positive state of mind. Besides God my family and job help me stay humble. I work in the prison's kitchen seven days a week. That's no less than 56 hours a week. Yes I have a newfound respect for the word job.

Other than politics I attend service, read literature on my way of life and other books. I work out, write poems, write songs, smile and keep up with those who keep up with me. I have plans to start my own entertainment/music business when I am released. I don't drink or smoke but accept everyone who chooses to. Can’t say I’ll never drink or smoke again because I'm not perfect. Perfection is something I strive for on a daily basis until I touched the sky.
